Winter is definitely round the corner, it is getting colder and we are starting to get the invites to various Christmas parties dropping through the door and into our email inboxes. There is a credit crisis gripping the world with in its frenzy and yet business carries on. Perhaps the most interesting aspect of this latter event is that we can sometimes forget that people still need to live, even when the world seems to be having hiccups, people still buy the things they need and as a result business and commerce continue.
It is also true that there are some businesses which will thrive in these times and typically they are the ones that don’t bunker down, hoping to ride out the storm. Instead, they will be the ones that take the risks necessary to get their brand and business in front of potential new customers and clients as old ones fall by the wayside; they are also the one who will go the extra mile to help another business too.
One of the things that we like to think makes us a little different here at Internet Mentor is that we love to help others. We share our knowledge and expertise in a wide variety of ways, by presenting at networking events, posting (hopefully) helpful articles on the web, answering questions in LinkedIn and when we spot opportunities for clients and business friends then we try to let them know as soon as possible. Therefore, if there’s anything you’d particularly like to see in the form of an article or a presentation on our website, then why not let us know by sending an email to linda@internet-mentor.co.uk.

What’s New on the Social Web?
There’s been a lot going on recently both on and off the web. Google+ has now opened it’s doors to all comers, Facebook have been developing Branch Out and Twitter has ended it’s real time search connection with Google.
Here at IM HQ though we’ve been concentrating on Personal Branding and have a number of (hopefully) useful blog posts that may help you get your own personal brand sorted out.
